Frost Fest 2017

Thousands of Central Texans put on their winter coats and braved the cold Friday evening to attend Frost Fest in Market Heights.

The smell of sweetened popcorn, hot coco, and candied pecans filled the air walking into the dozens of vendor tables, visited by patrons sifting through hundreds of handmade goods, foods, and other trinkets looking for a perfect Christmas gift.

After weaving through the vendors, grabbing our candied pecans and hot coco, the kids made a beeline right for Blitzen, a real life reindeer. Stretching their arms as far as they could through the railings to try and touch the magic of one of Santa's beautiful reindeer.

Our friends at Sam's Club & Walmart set up a giant kid friendly ice skating rink for children and young at heart adults to have a chance to try their hand at ice skating around the rink.

Now, not to take any clout from the big man Santa Clause, but to me and to the smiling faces I saw, I think the Magic Display "Snow and light guy" took the cake. Every couple minutes the music would start, lights kick off and the snow start to fall, while dozens of children and adult rush over to play in the "snow"

This is definitely an event that we'll be attending every year, the kids had a great time and it was free!
