Cyd currently serves as VP of Programs for Greater Central Texas Communities in Schools, Treasurer of Friends of Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce where she also serves as the Project Mentor for the leadership program, Vision XXI. She is Chairman-elect of the Killeen ISD Education Foundation, past Chairman of the Armed Services YMCA, and is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Killeen. Cyd is a former President of Killeen Junior Service League and is a graduate of Leadership Killeen. She is an associate member of The Fort Hood Area Association of Realtors and the Central Texas Home Builders Association, and a member of the Fort Hood Chapter of the Association of the United States Army. Cyd was invited to observe the 3CR battle training at the National Training Center in 2022 and was selected to attend the National Security Seminar at the U.S. Army's War College in June 1998. One of her most enjoyable volunteer efforts is serving as co-chair for the annual Festival of Trees charity fundraiser.
